Artists and writers can access the Nimrod Art Workshops page for all information regarding artists and writer weeks. Love Nimrod (I know you do!)? Book a weekend this summer with your family! It is a first to be able to offer this so jump in!

As we have been operating as an artist and writer colony for over 25 years, if you are interested in coming, please reserve a space as early as you can. Registration typically begins in January. Previous year artists get to register first so many times weeks can be closed before it seems that they are even open! Be open minded about the week you come the first time, because the next year YOU are a returning artist....

There is not a greater gift you can give yourself, as an artist, to create at Nimrod Hall.

Artist & Writer Weeks

We have 6 artist weeks led by artists in residence and three weeks of writing workshops. For painters there are no formal classes (unless noted) and artists work on their own with advice given as needed. All supplies are brought by the artist. Not only plein air painters are at Nimrod! We have people creating in most every medium. The gift is time and inspiration and anyone who loves that combination will fit in beautifully with the other artists at Nimrod. There are 3 weeks of writers, run by professional writers who strive to help the beginner and established artist write while enjoying the creativity that comes from being at Nimrod with other writers.
